Dell GX270 POSTS but wont boot any OS but DOS

I know – why would you want to use an OS other than DOS!
I have tried to boot to XPSP3 dvd, WIN7x86 DVD, and a USB PE.
All of them go through the POST ok, then start ‘loading files’, after which it simply hangs – mouse inop, keyboard inop.
