Directx and Diagnostic Tool

I tried to update a newer version of directx.I downloaded it and installed it and a window came up saying`successful installation’.When i checked add and remove program,the older version of directx wasnot in the add and remove program nor was the newer version.Could you tell me how to get it in the add and remove program.Also there is an uncertified driver file in the directx diagnostic tool.it’s called sis6326.drv.Could you tell me how to get a certified one.Thankyou,Marilyn
