It has been my experience that many/most people who participate in these discussions are skeptical of any statements or claims made by environmental scientists.

Notwithstanding I am posting this link in the hope that some people may find it worth commenting on. It relates to the USA but no doubt describes agricultural practices that are carried on in other countries also.
