Today is St David’s Day. He has been the patron saint of Wales since the 12th Century.

The most famous of the “miracles” attributed Dewi Sant took place during the synod at Llanddewi Brefi sometime in the 6th Century. It would seem that, in order to get the crowd’s attention “he placed a cloth on the ground which duly rose beneath his feet and a white dove, a symbol of the Holy Spirit, settled on his shoulder”. Following this “miracle” he was made into an Archbishop and beatified some five centuries later.

No doubt would also have qualified for automatic membership of the Magic Circle had it existed then!

Have a nice day and wear a daffodil in his honour.

Neil 😀

Yep. That’s me…
