E-mail website setup for a club with many members.

hi, i needed some input on setting up an email site (http), preferably a free solution . i run a club in the city and we have about 5,000 regulars with many new members joining monthly. i wanted to start a email website that i will market with my club flyers to my club members but it would also be available for registration to the general public, where they would be able to register/sign up on my site much like you do on hotmail(example: john@myclub.com, sally@myclub.com). i am obviously looking for something thats very scalable to large number of users and future expansions. Some of the features i want to incorporate into my site are virus checking of email, spam control, address book, etc etc, basically all standard features you would find in hotmail or yahoo. I would also like to have the ability to run a 1 line message at the bottom of each email sent by my members for club news purposes and events that couldn’t be manipulated by the members (meaning it couldn’t be turned off by them). Also would like to have the ability to send a newsletter to all of the members from my admin account simulatenously. The website login/front page design is going to be handled by a design team in town i found, i just need the best back end solution to power this website. The best reference sites would be a mix of hotmail.com and faithmail.com the features of the former with the simple layout of the latter.

thanks!
