Ergonomics-Computer workstation; petite female

by cburnham . Updated 19 years ago

One of my users is a petite female, normal weight, about 5’2″ tall. She has been having neck and shoulder pain for quite a while now. I have tried several desk heights, monitor heights, checked the angle of her elbows and her body in relation to her workstation, different chairs, different heights with the chairs, and even had a “professional” come in and try her hand at it.

In addition, I purchased her a “Rollermouse” keyboard tray, which puts the mouse operations right in front of you, rather than reaching to the side (which can be more problematic for shorter people).

Anyway, she has gotten some relief, but the problem still persists. When she goes home for a couple of days, she’s fine. The pain doesn’t come back until she starts working on her computer here at the office.

HELP. Suggestions?
