Error message when opening jpg in IE5.0

When I try to open a jpg image or an html or htm file I get an error message that says “Cannot find the file ‘D:\Winnt\Profiles\TinaD\Personal\Tina\couple1.jpg’ (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.” I checked the path and the filename and they are in the correct path and the filename is correct as well. I did a reinstall of IE5.0 and also repaired it and its still doing the same thing. Do I need to upgrade to IE5.5 to fix this or is there a fix for this error? Your help is very much appreciated.
