Everytime I click to download a PDF article for Windows XP

For this site, I don’t get the download and have to click on the secondary url listed and then all I get is a Blank page with a funny looking symbol in the upper left hand corner, A little square with 3 smaller symbols within it. I have acrobat reader 7.0.8 currently.
Why is this not working for me?
My Pop up blocker on Google Tool bar is turned off, And I don’t think my Security on my computer is the issue either.
This has happened several times in the past And I just gave up looking on this site for Any information, But When it comes to making XP more usefull and more secure then I want to know.
