Bear with me as I try to explain my problem. I have a table that has in cell A1 ‘Apple’ and and B1 ’15’. Then using cell C1:D3 as a sort of reference database or lookup table fill in C1 ‘Apple’, C2 ‘Orange’, C3 ‘Lemon’ and in D1 ‘4’, D2 ‘5’, D3 ‘6’.
My question is can I have a formula that will find the value of A1 (Apple) look for the same value in C1:C3 (C1 Apple) get the relevant number in D1:D3 (4) then compare it to B1 (15). If B1 (15) is >D1 (4) add it to a running sub total in column E next to the relevant entry. The entry in column E will always increase as more rows of data are added to A:A and B:B if it meets the criteria.
I suspect that I may be looking at a pivot table and bringing the answer from the Pivot Sheet back to Sheet1.
Thanks
