Finding mailbox.pst in XP using Search

Hello, I can’t locate my Outlook 2000 mailbox.pst file with the XP search. I know what directory it’s in.( by checking personal folder proerties) I have tried changing settings in the folder view to show hidden files, etc. The search tool in Windows XP Pro, in general, doesn’t seem to be as good as in previous versions. My XP has is current with all updates installed. Often, find the search tool to be useless. Anybody else experience a similar problem?
