Generic Host Process for win32 shut down by data protection affects clients

by blevy . Updated 16 years, 11 months ago

I have a network with a 2000 domain controller and a 2003 domain controller. The clients are running xp sp2. Recently I am getting an svchost error on most workstations. Occasionally I also get the error that Generic host process for win32 is being stopped by data protection service. I have searched for a solution, but nothing seems to help. No changes can take place by virus or user on the workstations as they are locked down by deep-freeze. I have scanned the servers for virus with ESET NOD32 and found nothing. Ihave run Microsoft MSRT and found nothing. I also installed all updates to the servers.

Can anyone help or shed some light on my problem?
Thanks.
