Ghosting Raid1Hardware

Hi I actually just want to comfirm if this is a correct procedure to ghost Raid 1 hardware. 1.Break the raid 1 config on the SCSI card 2.Ghost the hard drive onto the new hard drive
3.Recreate the new Raid 1 config and initialize in
Any other tipswould be mostly appreciated
