I have 60 computers in a classroom environment which have Solaris 8 and NT workstation and server on them. I need to be able to ghost images and rebuild the machines on a weekly basis. Ghost 6.3 enterprise will work on compaqs but not on the Microns I’m using. The machines are brand new and the bias and equipment is on the compatibility list. There seems to be a problem with the X86 partition Solaris 8 creates to boot from. It is corrupted upon passing the image. I suspect a problem with the LBA CHS relationship. Is there a binary method of ghosting a partition which will maintain the PBR. The MBR should be ok from the original install. Currently I can ghost the Solaris partition and NT partitions but not the disk as a whole due to the X86 partition. Got any clues????
