Ghosting to and from CDROM w/Norton Ghst

I am considering purchasing the Ghost 2001 product from Norton as a way to recover or migrade user desktop hard drives. Does Norton Ghost allow ghosting between different size hard drives and/or diferrent PC platforms? If so, how does the product deal with hardware specific driver issues?
