Handling missing PST error messages

by hooper_jim . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

Hi All,
we have an issue with the way outlook polls for pst’s in a profile. We have a local profile on the users pc which can have psts with no issues.
we then copy the profile up to the WTS servers to use when they logon from home/diff office.
However, the psts are not visible as they are stored on the users harddrive. Now we have managed to code around these when say viewing the Mailbox/Folders but Outlook itself appears to poll for them regardless.

Is there a way, like the Security Access message, that these “Cannot find file xxxxx.pst” and the Create/Open File dialogue boxes can be supressed or automated so the users do not have to manually click OK and CANCEL for every Pst, of which thy can many due to the nature of the business.

Many Thanks for all your help
