Here it is late in the day and no one has said Happy Fathers Day

So there, I said it.

Everyone has a dad, not all dads are great, but mine was.

He was a hero and a role model, even though he left my mom many years ago, life has a lot of curves and squiggles in it and some things just do not work out.

Years later dad became friend, as an adult you get to know many things better and that includes your parents.

Four years ago in February a stroke took my dad away, and I remember the phone call that I got from mom very well. She told me of the event and asked me if I was good with that….

I was crushed, but all I could say is that “I guess that I will have to be, good with that”.

We are all issued one dad and one mom, and that this is Fathers day go ahead and thank dad, wherever he is, he and your mom gave you life and life is good, enjoy it.
