Hosting multiple web pages

We are running Red Hat 6.2 with apache 1.3.2 and we are trying to host 2 different domains and use the box as a proxy. Should we use the Virtual Host directive in apache , or is there something within linux that we can do Ip aliasing or something. As always any help is appreciated.
