Hostname problem

ok heres the fun question.
one of my computers runs windows nt4 with sp4 and has sql server 6.5. now whenever we click network neighborhood, we cant see any of our network even though it is a bdc. when i open sql server and open the server, it doesnt see itself. heres the funny part, when i try doing a query or oppening up the enterprise manager on a computer that is part of that domain it cant see it, yet when i open it up at our homebase it opens it and does queries. weird that a computerthat is not part of that network(but has trust relationships)is able to open up through sql yet a computer that is part of that network cant. also another weird thing is the network neighborhood. no computers can see that computer
