how do I ghost

I would like to ghost a 3gb partition from a 1999 hp brio onto a partition on an 80gb hard drive. The problem lies in the fact that the hp brio seems it can’t have a second hard drive installed. How would I go about ghosting the partition from the old hard drive and onto the new and installing the new hard drive without incident.
