How do I restore my operating system for windows 2000 professional.

I had gotten spyware on my computer.Found some removal programs. But still having problems with the operating system. I no longer have the software to re-install the operating system so I wonder if I can repair or restore what is already there? Any help would be appreciated. milton456@comcast.net.
