How to host our own email server?

We currently use an ISP to host our mail, but to the increse in staff members we are looking at hosting our own emails from our SBS. This SBS has exchange on it.
How do I go about configuring or migrating our email accounts from our ISP. I beleive we may need a public IP address (static), but other than that, do we need anything more??
