How to include most recent experience on resume if not applicable?

I am with a company that acquired the company that acquired the company I originally started with. My role has strayed pretty far from what I intended to be doing. I am afraid if I list my job experience in reverse chronological order, my most recent experience doesn’t directly apply to the positions I am seeking. I am reluctant to leave it off or reorder it, unless that is really the only thing to do. Any words of advice are much appreciated.
