HTTPS: Error 12169

by elemental . Updated 19 years, 1 month ago

Hey Folks,

One of my colegues got this error message while trying to access the internet, although he had just been on it not five minutes before:

“Internet Explorer cannot display the Webpage”

We ran the “Diagnose Connection Problems” and got this:

“Please contact your network administrator or helpdesk for assistance”

We then took a look at the “View Diagnostic Log” and got this, in short:

———————————————-
warn HTTPS: Error 12169 connecting to www.microsoft.com: the supplied certificate is invalid,

We got the same for passport.net, and for the FTP (Passive) we got; The operation timed out.
———————————————–

I’ve determinded that it’s his computer cause he can log on from any other system using the same username & password

I’ve done the following on his computer:

Reset all his IE settings,
and rebooted the system and still nothing.

I’m at a loss at this point, I can’t under stand what could be happening, locally, to prevent him from login on to the internet; PLEASE HELP…
