On my Windows XP Pro system all text, lines and objects appear to have ghosting or a shadow.

My monitor is a Hanns-G 2230.
This started a few days ago. Since then I’ve disconnected my monitor from the KVM switch and attached it directly to the back of the computer. I also connected it directly to the back of another computer sharing my desktop and still had the same quality picture. Then I tested it on a system that’s identical to mine, bought at the same time, same spec.s, and the picture was fine!
I called the system builder and we did further troubleshooting. He had me use msconfig and disable all start items and uninstall the card in Device Manager to reload the drivers. Still the same picture. I downloaded new drivers. Same picture.
Systemax sent a replacement NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT card and I installed it today. I still have the same picture.
It seems that everything points to there being something about this location that’s messing up the picture as the monitor works fine on another pc 12-14 feet away. The only thing I can think that it’d be, stretching the imagination, is the wireless N router so I shut that off. Same picture.
As far as I can see the monitor is fine, it’s just not fine over here. The monitor is set at the factory defaults after I changed every control from one extreme to the other. The factory defaults have the best picture. I haven’t changed any of the effects in Desktop\Properties except to use ClearType.
I’ve also plugged in another Hanns-G 2230 to these two systems directly and through the KVM. It shows shadows but it’s fine when it’s plugged back in to it’s usual KVM switch.
Sorry for being long winded.
I’m at a loss for what to do besides buy another monitor and hope it’s fine. It’s not much of a shadow effect but it’s there and it annoys the… heck out of me. Is there anything I’ve missed?
