I lost my CD-RoM drive letter

Hi all i need your help here, a Swidish g roup donated us a PC of course we had to change the OS to English, I formated and installed WIN 98SE all went pretty well but when i wanted to load MS Office 97 i could not see the drive letter. Again the Systems Config. is lock (or asking for a password. please help or else we will have to bin it.
