Implementing the DICE framework

by angyi . Updated 19 years, 2 months ago

Dear TR mates!
I am working at an IT security company, and one of our main profiles is anti spam software (we are retailers) I found the DICE framework quite interesting to help our clients with the TCO calculations, however I also see how its very subjective to determine the scores and the wights for various product. I think a common pool of (average?) scores based on independent opinions might be more useful than individual ratings.
Even though there are a large number of products, there are a certain range of types of solutions that could be compared (open source, service based, apliances, etc.) Such a pool would be a good comparison after filling out the test individually, to confirm our assumptions.

Besides the pool, I’d be interested if anyone actually made decisions based on the DICE, and what was the outcome of it, how did you implement the system?

Thank you for any thoughts.

Daniel
