Importing 2003 PST file and it comes up empty, Wht?

I am moving from an older pc to a newer pc with the same version of office (2003). The export worked fine. The pst file size was extremely large … 2GB. I know it is large, but it seem to work.

I imported while outlook was offline (no internet), the import seem to work, even though it took awhile. I previewed some of the file and emails, calendar and it all appeared fine. I logged on with outlook and the internet and I can’t see any of the files, some emails, but not sure why?

Any ideas why I can see the import while offline but not online? I really need this to be seen while online.
