India getting expensive says SAP

by dr dij . Updated 20 years, 6 months ago

it appears that now india is costing too much for software development for SAP. competition from other major players like ibm, microsoft, and local companies is driving up salaries. Sap is now looking to easter europe and china. they were wary of china, possibly because 92 % of software there is stolen 🙂

This fascinates me. Sure it levels wages around the world.

But I’m thinking in a few years we’ll see SAP chairman say they’re looking at the hill people in the stone-age tribes of New Guinea as the next outsourcing location for development?!

And when they want too many pigs or feathered head-dresses in return, we’ll start hiring monkeys? Don’t laugh, they employ monkeys to pick coconuts and palm fruits in orchards in south east asia!
