O man – what a nightmare…
The sinlge folder on my computer that holds all the files and folders related to my college work has gone up the spout. Beofer I get an earful about abcking up my data – I did, a weekago aand this ahppened today so atleasts a weeks workhas gone – and thats quite alot.
Anyway – I have a folder and when you open it up to look at the folders and ifles within all that appears is a blank. Now according to disk usage the suff is still there as the fodler occupied about 150mb of space. So i got a disk anaylsis tool and had a poke about. Lo-and0behoold my files are sitll there! Hoora but when tyring to open them with this utility (Disk Investigator) i am told i cannot as they have “invalid start cluster numbers”. Also all the file names have been chaned, the endings are okay but the starts are scrammbled. Eg. Religion Essay.doc -> ?|?gion essay.doc. Please someone adivse me as to a course of action as i need these file asap – or my life wont be worth living…
