IS THERE A FORMULA TO REPEAT WHAT EVER IS IN A CELL?

I have to repeat the same information in a different cell. But instead of typing it twice, can I create a formula in the 2nd cell to repeat whatever is in the 1st. cell? Sometimes it will be a number and sometimes it will be text typed into the 1st. cell. thanks!
