Hi all,
I’ve answered a lot of questions on this board, but this time it’s ME that needs help, because I am waaay stumpt.
I have 2 laptops of the same model, (Everex 4251 stepnote) 1 used, 1 new in the box, both do the same thing.
They make it through POST, and get right up to reading track 00 and they stop, bootable floppy and HD give same results, bios boot selection does not help, bios recognizes all 4 HD’s I’ve tried, floppy’s and HD’s both boot in another laptop, so it aint them.
Tried bios defaults, no help.
Anybody know what I’m missing?
1000 points and a million thanks to the one that can fix me. 🙂 (will be split if more than 1 answer is used for the fix.)
I’ve been a comp tech for over 20 years, points are high on this one because it hurts my geeky pride that I even have to ask for help in the first place LOL.
