Local Outlook .pst file….Dangerous?

Because of mailbox size restrictions and our 90 day delete policy, my notebook users (including our CEO) are saving their e-mails to a local .pst file. With no backup, I worry about a drive crash, or a pst file corruption. How have you addressed this issue for notebook users?
