Lost CD-ROM within Win98

Recently, I am not so sure the reason why my PC has lost CD-ROM device(Ricoh R/RW). From Device Manager Windows, System Properties, I found out that CD-ROM Device has disappeared and also at Primary IDE Controller (Dual fifo) has a yellow mark.Does anyone has known the problem? Please let me know how to solve it. Many thanks.
