Lost Control Panel from My Computer

Using W2k Pro
Somehow I have managed to remove Control Panel from My Computer
I cannot now use any of the applets to change settings on my computer
even though I am logged in as an administrator the message says restrictions in force on this machine do not allow that operation (ie attempt to change setting of component which has a Control Panel applet)

Can someone please tell me how to get this back?
I really cannot afford to wipe the drive clean and reload w2k as i have a large number of personalised settings – many of which I now unable to save.
I consider myself a power user and am not afraid to dip into the registry if that is what is required (suspect it is but the settings)
