Lost Data with Windows XP home over XP pro

Hello, I recently installed Windows XP Home over an existing version of XP Pro. Before installing, it warned me that some of the My Documents files, etc. could be lost. It appears that everything is gone, including program files, etc. It must still be on the hard drive somewhere. Can anyone send me to a link with info on how to recover my data and programs?
