lost domain

I have one nt server with service pack 6
and 4 nt workstations. I dont know what happened but when I go to use user manager for doamins I get error message can not find domain controller. I can browse the network. If i type in my domain name manually it still doesnt find it.. I check tcp settings it seems ok.. im lost please help thanks alex
