Lost Gigs of stuff

5000 pts!!!! Read on…..

Okay, this happend last week to another drive but those files were at least backed up. Tonight my 100G drive lost 40-50 Gs of data that was not backed up (like where else in my low end equiptment can I back it all up)? Ilost music files, games, and other stuff (no, no porm so get your head out of the gutter). This happened, of course, after the system ran out of its 300+M of memory and I had to power it off. I am sure data was being written to it (Kazaa) and that is why it was lost. Last week when this happend to my D drive, I was writing to a spreadsheet at the time. And, unless you saw that post, I had to reformat since my data was mostly backed up.
When I try to access this drive, Windows says it is unformatted. I do a properties and it is in RAW format.
Now, want 5000 pts? Then please give me the right answer before someone else (non-techrepublic) gives me one (if I ever get one).
I can not stress that I need to retrieve all this data! ALL OF IT!
So please, without me having to spend money I do not have on some recovery programs (unless you are 100% it will work).
Please, give me the right answer and I will award you, yes YOU, with 5000 pts. Put your skill to work and HELP ME!!!!!!
Please…..
If you need any other info, let me know and I will post a comment without rejecting your answer (but please, read the comment and not let my message here just sit).
Thanks.
