Lost HDD – Cannot boot

W2K SP4 Intel

W2K has stopped boot process halfway and displayed BSOD, which asks to run chkdsk /f.

DOS floppy boot to run A:\chkdsk.exe says there is no HDD.

W2K CD boot to repair or to reinstall says no HDD in the PC.

Still a normal boot goes halfway thru & BSOD.

BIOS reports fixed disk 0 data as all OK.

Any help appreciated.
