Lost LCD twice .

I own a Toshiba Satelitte 1805. I bought it on 8/01/01. In May 2002 the lcd and inverter had to be replaced. It is only four months later and my lcd went out again. Is this normal? Is there something causing this? Because I do not have extended warrenty it is costing almost as much as the computer.
