Lost Microsoft Office Documents

An enduser lost about 80 documents from her local hard drive after registering and renewing mac address on wan. Is there any way to undelete if they were deleted( and not in her recycle file). How can I find out if the system was reimaged?
Her documents are not seen on her hard drive.
