I’am an Administrator for LAN in samll manufacturing company. Recently while working with some files from a workstation, I recived a Application pop-up that made reference to the mirrored drives on the file server.
The first message reads
Application pop-up: System process- FT Orphaning: A disk that is part of a fault tolerant volume can no longer be accessed.
While looking through the event viewer I notice this message:
The deveice\Device\Harddisk\FT1 that is part of a fauult tolerant set has failed and will no longer be used.
The physical drive drive did not fail, I still can read and write to it over the network.
Question:
1. Why would a drive, all of a sudden break the mirror on it’s own?
2. Can I regain the mirroring if I reboot the system?
