Dear TechRepublic,
I have a problem concerning a networking issue. The problem I have is that WIN98SE seems to have changed the original password for some other one. I have considered uninstalling the various protocols and removing the network card from the system and re-installing everything.
But in view of the relevant PC being a Peer-to-peer server with 12 other PC’s attached to the network with the networked based programs, I am concerned with it possibly corrupting other aspects of the network program or other passwords used. Other resources such as Network and System in the control panel, I currently do not have access to due to it requiring the Administrator clearance password. Consequently I am not able to uninstall said devices or protocols via the usual methods. I do very much feel that I am probably overlooking a very simple solution to this problem but I would be extremely grateful for any help or advice. Thanking you for your help and assistance with this matter. If you require further info please do not hesitate to e-mail me at paullawleywalker@hotmail.com.
