Lost partition

I have a customer who upgraded from a quantum drive to a maxtor drive. He tried to install the new drive himself using their Maxblast software. What he did was install it on both the quantum and the maxtor. Now the quantum partition shows up as non-dos. Is there any way to remove the maxblast and return the quantum to its original state. Also, I would prefer to remove maxblast from the new drive as well (low-level format???)
