Lost partition/logical drive

I had an NT server that was messed up and I used fdisk to format the system partition. Then I reinstalled NT on the C: partition. I thought that the other drive would have stayed there, but it didn’t. For some reason I lost the D: drive and all 2.5 gigs of data on it. I was wondering if there was any way to recover it.
Please help.
