Hello Everyone.
I was wondering if anyone can explain why i lost my profile.
I have two computers with w2k on it..i have alot of guests so i decided to play with it little bit so i can control what they can do and what they can’t.
ok i changedthe permissions to guests…now here is the problem….when i logon as admin or any other groups, i could no longer see the profile i was used to and it comes up as brand new profile ….my network is setup as workgroup….i have copied the profile to administrator and the local user but that did not help…all the my links are gone and could not get them back….all the programs I had on that profile disappeared….I do not remember changing anything else.
to the other comp I can change profiles and groups any kind way I want and never lost the profile.
I could not duplicate the problem to see where I went wrong but no go.
please help.
