Lately, we’ve been having lots of problems with profiles randomly being renamed. I’ve already figured out how to fix the individual situation (can do some renaming and get the old profile back as it was). But my main question is, does anyone know why this is happening?
Some background, we recently migrated to Active Directory and with that have also gotten a new domain. This problem was happening before we switched to the new domain. In fact, one user had her profile disappear 3 times before the new domain/AD. It’s been happening a lot more frequently since we have gotten the new domain, which I can understand being because of that, but this was happening before then.
Before the new domain/AD, we did go through and change all the account names from lastnamefirstinitial to firstname.lastname. Could this have been a possible cause? Then again, why would I have had to fix 1 user a total of 5 times, 3 before the migration and 2x after the migration…..
Any help would be much appreciated.
