lost tcp/ip

I have a small office on a cable modem running thought a linksys router.
there are 20 clients. Every so often a few of
the people can not get on the internet but the rest can. I have change them to a fixed IP address but did not help. If I ping the router from the run menu then they can get on the net. They have no problem getting on there local server
