Lotus Notes margins/tabs show up too big

I have 2 users that both have Notes client 6.5.5. One gets a message and the body of the text looks like there are large tabs between each column of text. So large that most of the text can’t be seen and there are no horizontal scroll bars (it’s greyed out). On the other client, this same message shows up normally with the entire message within the screen and there is no need for a horizontal scroll bar. Does anyone know what could be causing one Notes client to act this differently and how to fix the problem? Thanks!
