managing 2 profile accounts

I have one email account/profile as a separate account in my Inbox. All of the emails I send from that account and delete from
that account end up my main profile deleted and sent folders account.
I would like them to remain separate. At one point it was able to do
this but for the last few months has not.

Any help appreciated!!
