Have windows home XP and XP would not open. I contacted Dell for support and they said to use F8, which worked.
Then I had the same problem and Dell said to reinstall XP. I did that all was OK.
After reinstalling XP every time I boot up my system, a program called “Memory Diagnostics” loads and begins to do it’s thing. The only way to stop this diagnostic is to hit X and when the dianostic program starts again, I wait until it loads then hit X and F12 when the diagnostic program trys to load.
Then I boot up from my C hard drive and all is OK until I log off and then back on in the morning, and then I have to go through the same thing to boot up.
IU conatacted Dell again and they said to open the tower and “reseat the memory”. I did this and all again is OK, except today, it started again and Dell again said “reseat the memory”.
How do I remove Memory Diagnostics or at least disable the program.
